Solid Insulated Switchgear for railway application, is a product developed by ENTEC as
the next generation primary AC switchgear in railway industry.
Due to frequent but mostly temporary short circuits in the traction system, the
switchgear is essential to railway safety.
ENTEC’s SIS has its main circuit and bus bar epoxy molded as an environmentally
friendly product to respond to Anti-Global-Warming-Campaign since old SF6 gas
insulated products continue to be a main reason for climate change [Kyoto Protocol].
Compared to Air Insulated products, ENTEC's SIS has no exposed conductor, eliminating
the possibility of electrocution hazard, making ENTEC’s SIS the safest product available.
In addition, this product has been tested and verified according to international
standards at international authorized testing laboratories.
Compact size, light weight and maintenance free design, with its quality tested, all are
now making SIS ready to replace SF6 or environment friendly GIS and C-GIS in the
coming generation.
